Raw Strawberry Almond Bars Recipe
Try our delicious raw strawberry almond bars recipe! This is a great snack on-the-go and especially great for transitioning to a raw diet. Make lots of these during Strawberry season and keep them in the fridge for later enjoyment.
1 pound strawberries- smashed with potato masher or fork
1 1/2 cups raw almonds
1/4 cup raw dried strawberries (unsulphured, unsweetened)- cut into small pieces
1/2 cup raw honey or agave nectar
1 cup raw unsweetened coconut
1 teaspoon alcohol free almond extract
In a food processor, mix nuts, agave, coconut and almond extract until well mixed but not to creamy. Add fresh and dried strawberries to mixture and stir. Spread evenly on a teflex sheet and score into bars. Dehydrate a few hours then flip and remove teflex sheet. Continue to dehydrate for several hours or overnight until slightly crispy.
