Household uses for lemons go beyond utilizing them for preparing foods. Lemons provide antibacterial and antiseptic qualities that make them ideal for cleaning purposes. Lemon juice can be added to a wash cycle for fresh smelling laundry and to brighten whites without using harsh bleaches. Also clean ink and other stains from clothing by applying directly to spots.
