The Power of Cleansing & Fasting

Does your body need cleansing? Absolutely!
Consider all the toxins surrounding you and finding their way into your body. Toxins are EVERYWHERE and they are wearing on your body which can lead to tons of diseases, ailments and unhealthy conditions. Our bodies are bombarded daily with pollutants from our food, our lifestyles, the air and water, even the dental fillings in our mouths. There are many ways to cleanse the body and release these built up toxins but first you must STOP putting them deliberately in your body.

COLON CLEANSING
The best cleansing approach is to start with the colon. I always say "You’re only as healthy as your colon!" Now, if you were to stretch out the intestines coiled up inside you, you would see that they are about thirty feet long. Yes, 30 FEET! That’s a long way for food to travel and that’s also a long road to clean. Stuff can get stuck in there, especially WHITE FLOUR, so stop eating it! What happens when you add water to flour? You get GLUE and that’s exactly the type of thing that can be sticking to your intestinal walls and clogging your colon. The majority of the toxic waste in your body is deposited into your colon and most people don’t regularly get it out. You NEED to have a bowel movement after every major meal! You cannot be healthy only pooping once every few days. A clogged up colon can cause all sorts of disease and issues. Do you know that colon cancer is gaining in popularity so much so that statistically you will get it! Read the Merck manual, it says that 100% of Americans will eventually develop diverticulosis, if they live long enough. It’s time to start clean out your colon! When you eat a diet of primarily fruit and veggies, these foods don’t contain toxins and they digest quicker than cooked food or animal products and in turn your colon isn’t going to get clogged up. So, now that you may have been eating CRAP for so long, how do you get rid of it? I highly suggest being cautious and avoiding harsh alternatives like colonics or enemas.

I recommend herbal cleanses like those cleansing products from Dr. Schultz or Amazon Herbs Just be careful that you don’t use them as an excuse for consuming crap food.

LIVER CLEANSING
The liver cleans your blood so it’s important to keep it clean and functioning properly. If your liver is sick, your whole body will suffer. It’s your liver’s job to clean out the poisons and balance the fat in your blood. How often should you do a liver cleanse? If you are sick, do them more often, otherwise once or twice a year should be adequate. Here’s a simple recipe for a simple liver cleanse.
3-4 Oranges- juiced
1 lemon- juiced
1 lime- juiced
8 oz. Distilled water
Mix and drink. Repeat everyday for a week.

KIDNEY CLEANSING
If you’ve ever experienced the passing of a kidney stone, you know how important it is to keep your kidneys clean. Kidney disease is caused by toxins, high blood pressure and/ or high blood pressure. There’s some simple things you can do to prevent kidney problems. Your diet is a major contributor to problems, so keeping your diet clean can do wonders. Also, increasing your consumption of burdock root can help. Dr. Schultz has a great tincture and tea for kidney cleansing. Just like the liver, do a cleanse at least once a year or more. I find springtime the best to detox, as my body naturally yearns for new life.

FASTING
The best of all cleansing techniques is fasting. Some choose to fast but still consume liquids, which still is beneficial. When you fast, you give your body and all it’s systems a break from digestion and let it work on other things besides breaking down food. There are huge success results in fasting that can "cure" disease and other issues. You won’t starve, but it is recommended that you have support and a fasting consultant can offer much help. If you’ve never attempted a fast before, I encourage you to try it for a day or two at a time before jumping into a week long fast. Don’t fast if you’re pregnant or nursing unless absolutely necessary and with proper guidance. Dr. Graham holds fasting retreats yearly in Costa Rica and I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about his program. I’ve been busy with babies lately but plan on attending in the future.
